What is a Steamer?
Reader’s question:
My clothes get so wrinkly, and after asking around, some people recommended using a steamer. What is a steamer? Is it like an iron?
Answer:
An iron can press your clothes and remove the wrinkles with or without steam, while steamers can remove the wrinkles in a garment without pressing.
If you battle wrinkles on a regular basis, a small steamer can be useful. Steamers can keep your clothing in better condition, because the process relaxing fibers without crushing or damaging them. Those who love their designer pieces should invest in a steamer not only to beat wrinkles, but to ensure that the quality of their clothes stay like they bought them.
The Rowenta Steam Brush lets you brush your clothes as you remove wrinkles. For those of us who just want to stick to a regular iron, you can try a steam iron by Rowenta. Check out options for ironing and steaming at www.rowentausa.com.
If you can’t afford a steamer, you can go for the next best route: simple hang your garments up while you take a hot shower for around 10 minutes. Most of the wrinkles will simply fall out, and any others can be coaxed if you tug the fabric lightly against the crease.

I’m a 6′5 and thin. I saw that current 2006/2007 jeans trends were straight legged and tappered. I look kind of silly in those types of jeans and find that boot fit works better. I just want to know if I’m commiting a crime of fashion.
