Trimming Your Eyebrows

By staff
April 16, 2007

Are you dealing with a messy unibrow or generally unkempt eyebrows? While you can save money and style yours perfectly according to your expectations,  there are some tips you should keep in mind before you start trimming your own brows at home.

Everyone’s brows are different, and it’s best to go slow when trimming and styling yours. A badly trimmed brow is noticeable from far off, so it’s better to leave them alone until you’ve got our tips firmly in place!

Tip 1: Trim with scissors

When trimming eyebrows, always keep the length of eyebrow hairs in mind. Coarse, thick hairs and fine hairs can both be trimmed, but coarse hairs will need to be kept a little longer to lie flat and even. Try a test trim with a pair of brow scissors, and continue by trimming little by little until the hairs lie flat without looking wild (usually 3-5 millimeters in length above the brow line).

Tip 2: Use a white stick (with care)

Determine the stray hairs that you would like to remove by using a white stick. One of these white pencils can temporarily define which hairs retain the perfect lines of your eyebrow, and which ones you would like to remove. Take advantage of this pencil to help you shape your brows faster and keep your from getting carried away!

Favorite grooming kit? It has to be the Deluxe Grooming Kit from www.eyebrowz.com. It’s their specialty, and it shows with a wide variety of products to get your eyebrows looking good.
