Grooming Guide for the 20 Somethings

By Meieli Sawyer Detoni

Grooming rules may change as you get past your teens: you may not be busting out the blemish cream half as much, and you may also be facing new concerns (like keeping your skin young as you progress through your 20s).

Hair
A quarter of all men in their 20s start losing their hair, and although you may not be one now, why not prepare yourself for some hair loss ahead of time? (more…)

Smart Luggage for Men

August 25, 2007 (Comments Off)

It’s a dreary time I find; one is at the baggage reclaim at Gatwick airport, other bags look like one’s bags; scratched thick plastic, ubiquitous logos. ‘It might be mine’ you say to yourself in your head, not realising how depressing that thought is at the time; that one’s luggage has all the individualism of a Wal-Mart uniform.

So, what then is international style? On the cover of the current issue of Men’s Vogue, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair stands comfortably alert, eye to eye with the reader in what could be called his second skin: pale blue textured shirt, red woven tie with a discrete dotted pattern, and dark suit pants. Men’s Pure-formance products? Fine, I’m not wild about the name, but if you cut through all that slick marketing factor, you’re looking at a very interesting product. I’m always on the search for cool new products for men, and I have several willing guinea pigs to give each product a try along with me.

And with Aveda’s newest additions, we’ve gotten a taste of seven new products to promote healthy scalps and clean skin, and that’s not bad at all. (more…)
