One Hot Laptop Bag (Okay, Two)
Laptop bags are just getting better and better. Instead of bland old leather satchels and canvas totes, we’ve finally stepped things up with not just cool satchels, but backpacks and one shoulder slings with excellent looks. As someone who’s not graced with a fantastic mini Macbook, my laptop can still feel heavy when I am carrying it around all day.
The bag that saved me? The Columbia “Metropolis Titanium Cybersling” has a few cool features, and the vibrant blue puts it a step above the slickest bags in boring black. There is a very useful MP3 player pocket with a waterproof zipper, which is nice if you bike or walk outdoors with your bag. I found one on BagKing.com for $69.95, so if you sick of carrying around your old satchel, this should be your first choice to make an update.

The runner up? The Tumi “Norfolk” Convertible Computer Bag has a refreshingly sleek shape if you want a nylon bag, but you don’t want it to look at all like a school bag. I love the slate color, and the outside has just enough streamlined details to keep it from being boring. It’s a bit more expensive at $195.00, but it’s worth it. Can be bought at www.nordstrom.com.
