Wear Clothes According to Body Type
Sometimes it’s not your body that needs work, but your wardrobe! Here are five tips to show off the body you’ve been working on for spring with the cut, fit, and style of your clothes:
1. Look Thinner
Draw the eyes away from your midsection and towards your face with a little layering. Wear a crisp white collared shirt under a black long sleeved shirt and dark trousers; an open collar adds an angular effect and make you look thinner.
2. Look Bigger
Are you craving more bulk? Don’t think that baggy clothes will make you look bigger. Instead, try a little layering like an a-shirt layered underneath a button-down dress shirt, or patterns like horizontal stripes.

3. Look Taller
Wear similar colors for shirts and trousers in a darker color. Dark colors can blur your silhouette and make you look taller, as can vertical stripes.
4. Dress Smaller
If you’re a very tall man who wants to appear a little shorter, try wearing separates in contrasting colors such as a light pair of trousers and a bright tee. Avoid any shirt with a high collar, which will emphasize your height.
5. Get Trimmer
Avoid skintight fashions even if you’ve put in the hours at the gym. Instead of stretchy fabrics, try body-skimming ones like linen, Egyptian cotton, and pima cotton.
