Custom tailored suitsThere’s no doubt about it; having a suit custom tailored to your form is simply the best. You’re guaranteed to have the perfect tailored fit, because a skilled tailor is taking your exact measurements to fit the suit to you correctly. There are a few terms you need to be familiar with as far as world of custom tailored suits goes. Made-to-measure simply means that your suit is adjusted with your measurements from a Measurement block. This is typically done by a machine, and as such a very small number of adjustments can be made. Bespoke means that a tailor will adjust your suit according to your specifications, generally by hand. Nowadays, a custom tailor can literally transform a poor fitting men’s suit into a perfect fit.

There are many different variations on a typical men’s suit. There’s the American cut and the British cut; pleather (a synthetic material made to look like leather), cotton, tweed; choice between cuffs or no cuffs, and many more. With so many options, it can be hard to determine what’s “fashionable” now. A good rule of thumb is to stick with the basics. The classic black suit is always in style, as is navy and grey. Navy and grey can easily transition from one event to the next, and as an added plus you have the option of wearing black or brown shoes and accessories with it. In picking fabric you can obviously go from low-cost to the most luxurious materials. Of course, it goes without mentioning that fine wool is standard.

Depending on the type of occasions you are attending, there are different “rules,” on the type of custom-tailored suits to go for. For example; if you’re attending a wedding, depending on the time of the event, the dress code changes. If it’s a semi-formal event, you’ll want to wear a nice suit; if it’s during the evening, wear a dark color like navy blue or dark brown. If it’s extremely formal, custom-made tuxedo or a custom-tailored suit and a necktie will work nicely. This is just one example, but a custom-tailored suits can work wonders in all scenarios.

If you want to make the most of your custom-tailored suits, you need to remember a few things. You need to make sure the suits fits very well; of course, your tailor can help you with this. Small details also make a difference, such as the type of cuff and pockets. Furthermore, don’t necessarily worry about the price; money spent on a well-made suit is always a good investment. Then be sure to take your lifestyle into account; this will help narrow down your choices regarding fabric. And most importantly, wear them with style!
