Tips for Summer Office Style
Are you stumped on your regular office look? Do you need some revamping but you don’t know where to start? There are some summer pieces that can really help you to beat your suit blues and emit the positive summer vibe at your workplace…
Wear a gray suit. If you find a gray suit in a lightweight fabric, you can wear yours all summer long. One gray suit will change the look of all your shirt and tie combinations, too. Find the ones like this from Etro (pictured), which have a great cut and creative textures.
Maybe you’re not into suits, and you like to wear something a little unexpected. If so, try a v-neck lightweight sweater in a casual work environment. You can channel that preppy vibe with a subtle geometric pattern on a white ground, and then wear a nice white dress shirt underneath.
Lastly, branch out from your usual business shoes and go for a pair of work shoes with summer flair. While this won’t work in extremely conservative offices, you should be fine wearing trendy gray or navy loafers in most of the work environments and make a real statement. Consider shoes like ones we saw on the runways of Calvin Klein and Costume National, and don’t be shy! Summer’s the time for added color and branching out.
